Pau Simon is choreographer, dancer, teacher. They trained in contemporary dance at the CNR in Lyon, then at the CNSMDP in contemporary dance. They also obtained their DE for teaching contemporary dance at the CND in Pantin, as well as a master’s degree in social sciences at EHESS in Paris. Pau followed workshops with artists and theorists such as Odile Duboc, Loïc Touzé and Mathieu Bouvier, Fanny De Chaillé, Elizabeth Lebovici, La Ribot, Alban Richard, Vincent Dupont, Jennifer Lacey, and assisted or collaborated on the projects by Volmir Cordeiro, Ambra Senatore, Eric Mihn Cuong, Duncan Evennou, l’Amicale production (Julien Fournet) and Claudine Simon.

Performing with choreographers like Joanne Leighton, Nina Santes, Mickaël Phelippeau as well as in their own projects, they have also worked with musicians/performers like Julien Desprez, Ernest Bergez, Clément Verceletto, Claudine Simon, and visual artists like Ulla von Brandenburg , Clédat-Petitpierre.

Their choreographic practice is marked by a transdisciplinary approach to the stage, particularly with experimental sound, visual arts, and documentary research. Since the creation of the Suprabenigne association in 2013, Pau has created Exploit, first prize and public prize in the Danse Elargie competition at the Théâtre de la Ville, Sérendipité at the Cité Internationale, Perlaborer for Sujet à Vif in Avignon with Vincent Dissez, Posterieurs, at Ménagerie de Verre, Mutant Stage, dance video commission for Lafayette Anticipation with Volmir Cordeiro, Pendullum (2016) for the exhibition Museum ON/ OFF Center Pompidou, Per Que Torçut Dansan Lo Monde at Silencio in collaboration with Ernest Bergez, Lo-fi dance, creation at CDC le Pacifique, Grenoble, and La Grande Remontée, at BudaKunsten Centrum.
