For feminist art schools ! is primarily intended to share the content of lectures, interviews, workshops and discussion groups that took place at the École Supérieure d’Art de Clermont Métropole between 2017 and 2022. Retranscribing a cycle of intersectional feminist lectures in an art school is crucial to sharing tools for emancipation and shaking up the implicit criteria that structure our views and practices (identification with Western visual norms, romantico-capitalist representations of the artist-author…). It is essential to give a voice to artists and those who support them. This book is also an opportunity to work with a group of students, artists and researchers from the “research cooperative” in a seminar designed to develop the book itself; it is a tool for collective and ideally horizontal pedagogical work at the heart of a hierarchical institution. The invitations, transcription and editing of the texts were carried out jointly.
